About Us
Muckraker Foundation is an independent investigative journalism nonprofit, established to produce original public-interest reporting and release it freely to any outlet that wishes to publish it.
The Foundation was founded by brothers Anthony and Joshua Rubin, whose investigative work has documented some of the most consequential underreported stories in American public life. Their reporting has examined election integrity, child trafficking, and international migration networks. Their work has been cited by national media outlets, referenced in congressional and federal oversight contexts, and reached audiences in the tens of millions across multiple platforms.
Muckraker Foundation was created to expand this investigative capacity within a nonprofit structure. The Foundation produces original field reporting on subjects that are often overlooked by larger outlets, including investigations that require sustained time, on-the-ground presence in difficult or dangerous environments, and the financial independence to pursue stories without commercial pressure. Every investigation the Foundation publishes is freely available for any newspaper, broadcaster, or independent outlet to republish, broadcast, or build upon.
Muckraker Foundation is governed by an independent board of directors and operates separately from any other media entity. Its work is funded entirely by donors who support independent investigative journalism in the public interest.
